The nineteenth century was a difficult time for the palace at Otwock Wielki. After it was sold by the last member of the Bieliński family, the residence changed owners several times. One of the first administrators of the estate was Józef Szymanowski — husband of Maria, Poland’s first professional pianist, father of the painter Zofia and father-in-law of Adam Mickiewicz.
We invite you to an encounter with this remarkable family, whose fortunes are preserved in the portraits and mementoes shown at Muzeum Wnętrz in Otwock Wielki.
