Muzeum Wnętrz w Otwocku WielkimMuzeum Wnętrz w Otwocku WielkimWystawą dzieł jednego z najwybitniejszych malarzy polskich drugiej połowy XIX w. powracamy po 75 latach do osoby Aleksandra Gierymskiego, który był bohaterem pierwszej wystawy monograficznej w nowo otwartym gmachu Muzeum w 1938 r.
Zaprezentowane zostanie całe zachowane i dostępne oeuvre Gierymskiego, gromadząc około 250 dzieł (ok. 120 obrazów i szkiców olejnych, ok. 100 rysunków, ok. 50 drzeworytów, zespół fotografii z pracowni artysty z modelami, przykłady korespondencji) pochodzących z 12 muzeów polskich oraz ze zbiorów kolekcjonerów prywatnych. Pewna ich część nie była od stu lat wystawiana publicznie.
